The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV

Before Moses died, God instructed him to anoint Joshua to lead Israel in possessing the promised land; in the presence of all Israel, he told him, “The Lord goes before you and will be with you.”

These are empowering words.

If we are walking with God and God is walking with us, He is not only with us walking but is also walking ahead of us. Therefore, in our calling and purpose, it is crucial that we are divinely connected.

Our Gilgal

Before the battle, God sanctifies us at Gilgal.

Today, our Gilgal could be in our prayer chamber. or some place, a holy place, like in a boot camp or in a prayer and healing group where God sanctifies us, circumcising our hearts. There, we immerse ourselves in the Jordan River. Today, our Jordan River is the Living Waters streaming from God’s Throne. We immerse ourselves in God’s Presence.

Once we are cleansed, God’s Order of Battle is revealed. He tells us how to battle. He commissions us. Thus, we don’t do our own thing. No command, no action.

My Gilgal experience began at home. Heaven opened to me at night in my sleep. 3 consecutive prophetic dreams unveiled my spiritual eyes. I saw myself as a sinner. I saw myself as a black knight extracted and transformed into a white knight. I saw myself called and anointed as a warrior supernaturally empowered for battle.

My Jordan River was in Ali Mall. I was immersed in God’s presence, sniffling in tears, which was like being in deep waters, repenting, and confessing. The songs of worship were like the sound of many waters while angels were there worshiping God with the congregation. There, I became a new creation. A changed man. But as one who is newly born, the Lord incubated me at home with the light of His written words in scriptures. knowing Him. Knowing His will.

Our Battle Is a Done Deal – Jericho Shall Crumble

The Lord goes before us; He knows what lies ahead. The battle is already a done deal. He already ordained our victory.

In every generation is a Gilgal and Jericho in life, the first battle toward possessing the promised land, our Divine destiny.

As neophytes, the battlefield could be intimidating. Though our battle now is not against flesh and blood. Our battle is against the unseen forces of evil, ruling in the spiritual realm, the puppeteers. Not their puppets. Not people.

Our war is not a bloody war. It is bloodless. Our Jericho is not the physical world. It is the spiritual world.

Therefore, if we are fighting in the physical battlefield, tarnishing personalities, institutions, and governments, we are in the wrong battleground. The Lord rebukes us.

Our Confidence

When we are spiritually high, we could be very confident. But our confidence should not be in our abilities. As humans, we only know and understand what we see. So our abilities are limited. Because we cannot see the puppeteers, who are spiritual beings and deceivers in every sense. We depend on God, Who sees them and Who guides us.

Immerse in God’s Presence

At Gilgal we have to immerse ourselves in God’s presence.

The Divine Presence is our anointing, our confidence. It empowers us. It breaks the yoke, the unseen yoke of puppeteers. The yoke of evil. Thus, surely, their puppets will be set free. People are set free. Delivered. Healed. Rejoicing, giving glory to God in the highest. Not because they put demons under their feet. But because their names are written in the Book of Life.

The wicked game of darkness: destroying reputation by spreading fake news or negative information through social media or gossip.

Appallingly, even Christians play this game. How? They post their negative feelings and issues or follow vloggers aligned to their sentiments and post them on social media.

Sentiments may speak of unvalidated or validated allegations, negative speculations of issues, and attacks on personalities and institutions.

Let us say the sentiments are valid; they were fact-checked. Does God approve of posting them to inform others?

What Happens When Information is Shared?

Anything shared with you is like a seed planted in your mind.

That seed planted takes a space in your mind. It mixes with your thought system.

For example, you have heard of person A, but you have no idea whether he is good or bad. You haven’t met him.

Then person B comes to you and shares negative things about person A.

The negative things that person B shared occupy space in your mind and are stored as a negative file.

When you think of person A, the negative things person B shared would come into play. Your thoughts will retrieve the negative file. It will affect your attitude and behavior toward person A.

The effect: you will not fully trust person A. At worst, you will regard person A as a bad person even if you haven’t met him.

That is how sharing affects people. It is like witchcraft planting seeds in people’s minds. In the spiritual realms, demons see it as their opening to mess with our thoughts and emotions, triggering negative speculations and negative feelings leading to resentment, anger, and violent reactions.

Thus, sharing negative things makes us the devil's advocate. 

Today, gossiping is crafted as a digital creation in social media, reaching an audience as far as the east is from the west. The negative seed planted in people’s minds unlocks the gates of demons. Appallingly, there are Christians who gossip using social media—a grave sin, defiling the earth.

Prayer warriors and intercessors, arise! Subdue this evil. Gossipers, repent. Stop posting negative information that taints the image and reputation of people, groups, institutions, and governments.

Our concerns should be addressed in prayer, not in gossip.

“For I am afraid that when I come I may not find you as I want you to be, and you may not find me as you want me to be. I fear that there may be discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, slander, gossip, arrogance, and disorder.” – 2 Corinthians 12:20

“Therefore, rid yourselves of all malice and all deceit, hypocrisy, envy, and slander of every kind.” – 1 Peter 2:1

When we talk or write, our message should be helpful for building others up.

“Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.” – Ephesians 4:29

When Counseling is Needed

Seek a counselor with Divine anointing, operating in the ministry of healing and deliverance.

The Lord is first in everything. He reveals Himself. That’s how I know Him.

He reveals what I need to know, not what I want to know. I admit it; there are concerns I pray about, seeking God for answers, but I end up clueless. It is because I did not hear from God.

The first time I was asked to pray for a sick person, I was high in spirit. Seeing her in the hospital in a terrible condition broke my heart. Every time she groans in pain, she utters the name of Jesus. But she was not getting any better.

She is the wife of a pastor, so I presumed their church congregation had been fervently praying for her. Despite their prayers, her sickness seems to be getting worse. So I had settled in my mind that I must have faith in order to move mountains. Confident in my faith, I laid my hand praying over her, rebuking her sickness and boldly declaring that she would be healed.

After several days, I heard the sad news that she died. I was disheartened. Many questions raced through my mind.

I was certain that I prayed with much faith. I applied what Jesus said: if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17: 20

Determined to know what went wrong, I contemplated, processing in my mind what I had missed. I am sure I did not doubt my prayer for healing to manifest, so I reasoned that my faith should have moved the ‘mountain,’ but it didn’t. She should have been healed, but she died.

Then I heard a voice in my mind, “You did not ask Me if she will be healed and live or die in her sickness.”

That struck me. I was enlightened. It must be God’s voice speaking to me, revealing a profound principle of hearing from Him before making any leap of faith.

That was a game changer.
